Dress On Glossy Rouge

Let me share to you my personal review on the Esprique Precious Dress On Glossy Rouge in PK 881. This is a peach / coral tint lip gloss. This is inclulded in my August 2013 Giveaway. ;)

A liquid rouge compound with Plump up Paste to create a plump coating over the lips; giving a glossy silky finish without vertical creases even when applied sparingly.

I love how it has tiny sparkles that are just perfect to have that awesome glow. Not too glittery for an everyday look. Smooth Light Oil works to allow for a smooth application and a light wear.

I also love how the packaging was designed. On it's lid are like little diamonds embedded on the case.

Adopted a dual end applicator tip; a spatula side for solid application and a flocky tip side for defining contours.

Here's a lip swatch for you. I wore nothing before applying it on my lips. These are samples of bare Lip Gloss.

VERDICT

PROS:

Smooth to apply
Doesn't have any weird smell. Fragrance Free.
It applies really well.
Thick consistency unlike some glosses that I've tried.. they're just too oily. But not this one.
The two sided tip gives option of a solid application or soft contours.
The sparkles are bearable.
Lasts long.
Gives your lip a laminated look.

CONS:

If you apply too much, it can get too tacky. So just appy just "enough".

Unboxing: Shiseido BDJ Box August 2013 | Beauty Box

And finally it has arrived! After days of waiting it's finally here on my mailbox! As predicted, this month's box is all about skin care. What I didn't expect was it to be an exclusive box!

This month they featured SHISEIDO's IBUKI Skin Care line.

So what's inside our skin care box?

Yep! Full of sample sized skin care products from Shiseido.

Personally I haven't tried Shiseido yet, so I have no idea how they will work with my skin which is "oily and sensitive". Another reason for this is that Shiseido is quite expensive.

SO, thank you BDJ Box for allowing me to try them out even at a sample size. Well, Shiseido items will cost you more that Php 1k per item. So I'm really curious on the value of this box. Is it worth it?

But before that, let's check out the contents.

What's Inside?

Shiseido's IBUKI range was designed with exclusive Shape Memorizing cell Technology. It's 3-part action of clearing our dead skin cells, stimulating the skin's Natural Moisturizing Factor and building back the inner skin membrane, returns cells to their ideal condition and slows down future shrinkage, to boost skin's resistance. The result is smooth, beautiful skin that glows with radiance and freshness.

VERDICT

Overall it was an awesome package given that all items were "EXPENSIVE" given that nothing has a full size that costs less than Php 1,000. But compared to BDJ's previous boxes, in this box, NONE was given in FULL SIZE. It's a bit dissapointing. But well, we can always check if this box is worth it (value wise).

Colour Collection Whitening BB Cream
Review

Another one from Sample Room and yes, it's another BB Cream. :) I don't have the VIP membership by Sample Room so I am very choosy on what to get. And I often get the items that I would really love to try. And there goes another BB Cream.

Lately, I am in the experimental stage on BB creams that I just want to try every single one of them to find what's best for me. So here, let me introduce to you Colour Collection's BB Cream.

Colour Collection is the cosmetics line of Tupperware.

Colour Collection has whitening with Glutathione and Arbutin to make skin radiantly fairer and smoother with every use. It also claims 8 Skin Benefits.

8 SKIN BENEFITS

Whitens and brightens skin
Protects skin from ultra violet rays
Helps heal acne blemishes
Softens and hydrates dry skin
Promotes cell renewal
Reduces pigmentation
Retains moisture
Aids in improving skin elasticity

I definitely loved the fact that it already has SPF 30. It claims that it also acts as a whitening cream with its glutathione and papaya extract to even out skin tone and promote healthy cell renewal. It acts as a tinted makeup base or sheer foundation because of its self-adjusting shade that complements all Asian skintones. It doubles as a moisturizer with shea butter and soothing aloe vera, and works as a toner with hazel extracts that treats blemishes.

Direction for Use:
Shake well before use. After moisturizing face, apply a pea sized amount on forehead, apples of cheeks and chin. Blend well using fingers or sponge applicator.

The BB Cream has a thick consistency and has a tone closer to my skin color. It's not that dewy or moisturized as compared to others. It works well with my combination / oily skin.

It spreads well and I like the fact that it really evens out any discoloration.

Here you can see that I had the back of my hands lay bare. You can clearly see slight freckles and veins. After putting the BB Cream, it really evened it out and concealed some of my freckles and veins. It works really well. It has a powder finish that is very nice. I love to use it for my everyday make-up routine.

Miss Supranatural 2013

Ms. Philippines - Mutya Johanna Datul

Another win for the Philippines! Congratulations to our very own Mutya Datul for winning the crown for Miss Supranatural 2013.

She's the first Asian to win the competition and the first for the Philippines in this pageant. The 21 year old beauty came from Isabela with a dream to become a beauty queen. She also considers Venus Raj as her beauty queen idol! Indeed she's going to be just as good as Venus, or she could be better.

The pageant was held at Minsk, Belarus - the home of the reigning queen, Ekateria Buraya.

This month's box was a indeed a surprise! I love receiving full size items and this box have them! The most unexpected item was the full sized Olay item that came with it ;D The moment I saw it I got a lot more excited!

This is what I really love about BDJ ever since. The probability of having full sized items are really high that's why I can't stop subscribing!

I know this is not your regular and ordinary beauty box. This is the unboxing of Mary Kay's Starter Kit. I was surprised by the huge package! I was not expecting it!

Well the starter kit can be received by those who sign up for membership. The membership fee is Php 1,975.

So what can your Php 1,975 give you? I'll be giving you a sneek peek on what's inside the Mary Kay Starter Kit for those who are curious about it. I don't know if this may vary every season / year, but I know the brochures do vary every season / month.

So I opened the huge package and saw a huge bag!!!

Well the material is nice and it's huge. I immediately thought of it as one of my gym bags! LOL!

Then inside the Mary Kay Bag are the goodies! :D Finally! I was surprised on the quantity of the items inside.

2. Mary Kay Creme Lipstick (SAMPLES) - 18pcs | Php 100 per color

So there's Mary Kay Creme Lipstick Samples in three colors: Red Rouge, Toffee Caramel and Apricot Glaze. Six samples per color which makes 18 Lipstick samples in total. You can immediately use them for personal use (so you can try it!) and to your friends.

3. Timewise 3-in-1 Cleanser + Timewise Age-Fighting Moisturizer (SAMPLES) - 6pcs/each

Samples of their best selling cleanser was given in samples together with their best selling moisturizer. They were packed in set, having the cleanser joined with the moisturizer so you can have it both when you travel or give it to your friends. These two came in for DRY to NORMAL skin (Of which I am NOT) so this one goes to my friends. :)

Yay! Finally full sized items! So I got these foundations both of which I cannot use. WHY? First, one is in IVORY 5 and the other is in BEIGE 2 of which I still have. :) So.... I think this is open for sale. :)

So now here's something I can use... or not? I'm still torn! Given that I still have a facial cleanser and this is really worth something, I'm torn between using it or selling it. It's for COMBINATION to OILY skin. Any advice?? :D

Le Faerie Cosmetics Cream Eyeshadow Base | Review

Eye shadow base is a very essential component of a bright and colorful eye color. If you are going for a dramatic and colorful look, you should always start your eyes with a BASE. In this case a colored BASE is highly recommended.

And one of the Eye Shadow Bases that I have tried is from Le Faerie Cosmetics. I tried this while doing a dramatic Arabic Bridal Make-up look.

I used the green shadow on her lids and the darker shade of green on her crease blending to white towards her brow bone. I then enhanced the crease with the black shadow and shaped it all the way outlining her crease line. Then blended it out.

But in addition to the cream eye base shadow, I topped it off with powder eyeshadow to set it. Thus the vibrant results perfect for an Arabic Look..

Le Faerie Cosmetics is a local brand selling make-up here in the Philippines. They do general merchandise of make-up from foundation, eye shadow sets and lipsticks. Good for aspiring MUA and for personal make-up kits.

VERDICT

I loved the consistency. It is creamy and is very pigmented. Perfect for dramatic eyes or for fashion runways. It is very sheer and may be very prone to creasing. It's oil based that's why it glides pretty well, but may gather up if your lids are too oily. So for this you really need to have a good primer to start it with.

I am also amazed by the fact that these colors can be used as LIP COLOR because of its creamy texture.

White & Silver has almost the same color
Sometimes too sheer
Has powdery substance upon application

Licensure Exam
Electronics Engineer

Schedule was moved from October 18, 19, and 20, 2013 to DECEMBER 13, 14, and 15, 2013 as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission.

The licensure exam originally scheduled on October 2013 was indefinitely postponed due to the vacancies in the Professional Regulatory Board of Electronics Engineering and until the new members of the Board are appointed and qualified.

The Electronics Engineer and Electronics Technician licensure exam will be held simultaneously in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Lucena.

More time to study for you guys! Good luck to every one!

Hello ladies! So BDJ again released an exclusive Elite Box. When they say "Elite" it's a lot more pricey than their regular box. Sometimes they also do exclusives.

For this month of September, they are giving out the Colour Collection BDJ Elite Box.

Another thing that differentiates the Elite BDJ Box from their regular boxes is that they release the contents of the box before shipping (or before ordering). They already show you what you will get. And personally, it destroys my curiosity. Well, it depends if the items/brands are really worth it.

When I saw the items, I am not really fond of Colour Collection although I really love their BB Cream which I am still using now. I'm curious about the anti-ageing BB Cream and also the Lip Therapy since it contains Argan Oil (my ultimate favorite!). I'm also not much excited on the blush, eyeshadows and lippies (of which I have read some negative reviews on pigmentation).

But the Cascade Acrylic Case would be really nice to have!!

The Elite Box for September 2013 costs Php 1,880 with Php 6,000 worth of goodies inside. Saving you almost 70%! Not bad :)

Mary Kay
Creme Lipstick

Hello dearies! Being a fan of lipstick in general, I have been eye-ing on this items for months already! Saw this from a friend and she has a whole bunch and I just got jealous! I have one of these and I must admit that it's one of my favorite! SO I hurried and got 5 full sized items and I also included in this review 3 more shades that I got as samples. :)

These items are Mary Kay's basic lipstick line mostly in Satin finish. Some are also Frosted which is good for night wear.

I do love their packaging. It's very durable and looks very elegant.

They have also place "swatches" or more of a color representation of the lipstick. Though personally, I don't think they MATCH the real pigment of the lipstick when applied. But still, it's a good reference... good enough.

So the five shades that I got in full size (3.6g) are RED SALSA, DUSTY ROSE, GARNETFROST, PINK SATIN and PINK MELON. Here in the Philippines, they have 14 shades available for purchase.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Red Salsa" | Php 700

Red Salsa is a warm red pigment. It's bright and very pigmented when applied. It's a perfect red color for day-time. Perfect for fair to medium skin tone.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Dusty Rose" | Php 700

Dusty Rose is a sweet pigment of rose. It's not matte but it does not have much "frost"... it's more of a satin finish. It's my favorite everyday shade out of the bunch.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Garnetfrost" | Php 700

Garnetfrost is really frosted in an almost old rose tint. It may not be my first bet for an everyday lipcolor but will be very nice for an evening date.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Pink Satin" | Php 700

Pink Satin also has frosted finish but has a sweeter pigment than Garnetfrost. It's my second best for everyday lipstick. It's very sweet and subtle.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Pink Melon" | Php 700

Pink Melon is a bright kind of pink with a Satin finish. It's good for a playful day ;)

With my 5 shades I also have 3 more lipstick samples that I got from the Starter Kit (See my review on that here.) would like to share their swatches with you! These are RED, APRICOT GLAZE and TOFFEE.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Red" | Php 700

Red is a deep pigment which has a cool undertone. Unlike Red Salsa, this has a deeper tone in it. A more elegant feel. Perfect for a sexy night out. Looks good to medium to dark "morena" skin tone.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Apricot Glaze" | Php 700

Apricot Glaze has the frosted finish of a warm brown/nude pigment. Perfect for everyday wear or light evening event. Best used with smokey eyes.

Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in "Toffee" | Php 700

Toffee is also a nude color with Satin finish. It is very light, perfect for a day look. This is my first purchased Mary Kay Lipstick. And I have been using it since.

VERDICT

So there you go! 8 Shades of Mary Kay Creme Lipstick. I really love the texture and pigmentation of this set. However, you cannot really see it's actual pigment without trying it out first. The reference color on the packaging is not very much reliable. Nude colors were presented as BROWNS/ORANGE which is not very attractive at first. But when you try them out, you will love them immediately!

That's why I've decided to make swatches for your personal reference.

CONS

They do not have Matte finish lipsticks
Too many frosted shades
Does not last THAT long. You need to retouch after eating / drinking.

Talk about back-logs, here's a nail color that I got 2 months ago! My very first Chanel Nail Lacquer. Yay! I got so excited because I got them on SALE. Yes, on sale from Rustan's Makati.

Kudos to my friend who shared their employee sale with me so I got this half the price. This is really sold at Php 1,250 available in Rustan's Makati.

This is my first designer polish which makes me really excited to try it out. One difference it has from all the other drug store polish is the quality of smoothness during application. On this photo, I used two coatings and the color was perfect.

You just need to apply final coating of clear polish with quick dry since the consistency of this polish was a bit thick. It doesn't dry very quick so you need some Quick Dry afterwards. As you can see, my pinkie got caught up. :/

VERDICT:

Packaging is very durable
One to two coats is enough
Durable color. It can last longer than the regular brands.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

1. Question for Ecuador: What would happen to the world if we could no longer use the internet?

Ecuador: Tech has disadvantages - we are no longer close with our families. We use the methodology of computers and internet for the positive. It is never too later to start. Let's start now.

2. Question for Brazil: What is your opinion in places that do not allow women to vote, or drive cars?

Brazil: Good evening everybody! In my opinion, we as women achieved our independence through time. Unfortunately nowadays we still have problems with our independence. But we need to keep our open minds because nowadays we are homemakers, part of a work force. We are capable of everything.

3. Question for Spain: What is the most significant thing we can do help elect women to political offices around the world?

Spain: In order to select a good woman, she must posses good qualities in order to do a good job - discipline, knows how to adapt... so she can fulfill her job.

4. Question for Philippines: What can be done about the lack of jobs for young people starting their career around the world?

Philippines: I do believe we should invest in education - and that is my primary advocacy. ... Education is primary source and it is a ticket for better future.

5. Question for Venezuela: What is your biggest fear and how do you plan to overcome it?

Venezuela: We should overcome all our fears and this in turn would make us stronger. As soon as we overcome our fears, we can face any challenge.

So I missed my October 2013 Box. *sad* And it's all because of the Paypal issues for recurring subscriptions. I can talk all day about it and how frustrated I was but I would like to spare it for this post. No bad vibes for me (and for you) today! ;)

And now I received my NOVEMBER 2013 BDJ Box a little early than the usual. And all my frustrations over the October Box was thrown away out the window!!! I love you BDJ! :D

BDJ Box November 2013 - Blushing Beauty | Beauty Box

This month is all about the "Blushing Beauty". Their aim is to give out the real beauty in you, a blushing and radiant beauty. They have gathered products that are organic, and nourishing for a youthful glow.

I was so shocked and very pleased to see the items on my box!!! When I saw that Argan Oil peeking through, I was ecstatic!!! Like, I'm already 100% satisfied with this box!

So mostly the box contains bath cream, facial foam, hygienic cleanser, oil, perfume, and a few cosmetic items. Indeed, it's a full package! It gave a complete beauty set, from head to toe! It's nice when beauty boxes consider an all around package. I must say, I am really satisfied with this!

1. ZA Perfect Solution Cleansing Foam 3.5 oz - Full Size | Php 345

Made with Marine Collagen that encourages the skin's renewal process, and nature-derived plant see extracts, this high performance anti-aging cleansing foam gives your skin a youthful resilience and a silky glow. A small amount is all you need for thoroughly cleansed skin.

I'm not a fan of facial wash / cleansing foams so I'm not really excited for this. ZA has been marketing their line of facial care lately and they have a pretty wide collection of skin care products. For this one, I don't I will be using this anytime soon because I'm still treating my previous breakouts and I don't want to have another set if this is not good. :/

2. The Cream Factory Bath Cream 26 fl oz - Full Size | Php 699

Made from real Goat's Milk from the Netherlands and 100% Active Botanical Extracts. The Cream Factory Bath Creams will leave your skin feeling velvety smooth and fresh all day, even into the night. It's yummy, delicious, and fun, like dessert for the skin.

I just tried this and used it like a conditioner for my skin. It smells really sweet and yummy!

3. Oil of Argan 30ml - Full Size | Php 600

This rare oil is extracted from the nuts of Argan Trees in Southwest Morocco. Its blend of Omega-6 Vitamin E, and essential fatty acids makes it a potent moisturizer and antioxidant. When used regularly, it restores the natural tightness of your skin preventing signs of premature ageing.

My favorite out of the bunch! Yes I'm an ultimate Argan Oil fan! You can check out my review on Argan Oils and where you can buy them. I already had this brand and got the full size. I was ecstatic to see another bottle even at 10ml. It simply means I have extra stock! If only I can buy tons of this and hoard for some more stocks! Thank you once again BDJ! You made me really happy.

4. Canmake Powder Cheeks - Full Size | Php 390

This finely-milled powder blush from Canmake gently colors your skin, for a soft and natural finish. Just dust lightly over your cheeks for a warmer complexion and a more colorful look. It comes in a cute compact case so you can take it wherever you go.

And I totally agree! I love that it is handy and fits my overflowing kikay kit perfectly! Though the shade is a little light for me (having light olive skin). Though it's good for mid-day retouches. It can give you that subtle and natural blush. And did I say that I totally love their brush?! It's so smooth!!!:D I got the one in PW05.

5. Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss 5.9ml - Full Size | Php 570

Get a pop of weightless color with vivid mirror like shine with Colorburst's Elasticolor technology and its micro-crystal formula. It is also packed with moisturizers and anti-oxidants such as sweet almond oil and vitamin E conditions and improves lip texture.

So again I got a RED lipgloss. I think my profile screams RED all the time! This month I got Revlon's Colorburst Lipgloss in Fire. When I wear this, I'm literally the "Girl On Fire". ;) I love the color and I'm so excited to give this a try.

6. Yves Rocher Naturelle Eau de Toilette 50ml - Full Size | Php 1,495

Composed of 90% natural ingredients, this fresh and sparkling scent will infuse your aura with a blend of green, floral and fruity notes. It has facets of crisp green apple, an innocent floral heart of Egyptian jasmine absolute and peach blossom, grounded by hints of Virginian cedar, amber and musk.

I always love handy perfumes. What I got from the box is just 7.5ml Sample Size. Though the scent reminds me of my Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. :) I love it. It's not grand.. but it's OK. If you know what I mean.

7. Saforelle Gentle Cleansing Care 100ml - Full Size | Php 159.75 (Bonus Item)

Saforelle is the leading feminine wash in Paris France enriched with the soothing and anti-itch properties of Burdock.

So I got another one from Saforelle. I had my first bottle from Glamourbox, and I must say I have been using it ever since. Now that I got another one in a smaller bottle, it's perfect for travel and when I go to the gym. ;)

VERDICT

I really loved this box! From the first sight of the Argan Oil on the box, I'm hooked. :) And I'm very satisfied. Thank you very much BDJ!
